Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician who will also act as our Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and be able to adapt as emergent issues occur. Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis including, but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing basic electrical, basic plumbing, minor PTAC repair, and appliances.
• Prepares resident apartments for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets, and general repair.
• Assists Maintenance Director with proper function of all emergency systems.
• Assists in transporting residents to appointments.
• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, residents, and families
• Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards
• Train and mentor housekeeping team members
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
• Address resident concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills - with ability to communicate in English to fulfill job requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices
• Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products
• Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools
• Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks when necessary
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift
• Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds
