Opportunity: Physician - Medical Director (Contractor)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to serve as a Medical Director in skilled nursing facilities located in Wellsville, New York. This is a remote position with a requirement to conduct on-site visits to the facilities at least twice per month.
As a Medical Director, you will provide professional medical services to residents, ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with all applicable regulations. This is a 1099 contractor role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on resident well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Director Services (8 hours per month):
Provide expert medical and procedural consultation to residents, adhering to all facility policies and federal, state, and local regulations, including full compliance with Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations and any relevant state regulations.
Offer ongoing and ad hoc advice to the Facility Administrator regarding the facility's scope of services, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending the development or procurement of future resident care programs, medical equipment, and professional/support staff.
24/7 Availability:
Maintain availability to the facility for emergency consultations and support.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
Attend monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings for at least 10 months per year, contributing to the continuous improvement of care.
Clinical Pathway Development:
Assist in the development of clinical pathways designed to enhance resident care and optimize outcomes.
Marketing Support:
Provide assistance with facility marketing efforts as requested.
Collaborative Care:
Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care to residents and patients.
Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted Physician license in the state of New York.
Experience working within Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Strong understanding of long-term care regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
