Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students. Our mission is to prepare students for success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility. Students gain acceptance to our schools via an annual blind public lottery open to all Boston residents.

Position : Lead Teachers, Pre-K to 5th Grade, 2025-2026

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are now accepting applications for experienced elementary school teachers in all grades for the 2025-2026 school year. We dont yet know what our openings will be, but wed like to be in touch with you if you are job searching for next year.

The salary range for experienced teachers new to Match is $67,993-98,899 and is determined by the candidates prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching positions are based at Match Community Day, our PreK-5 elementary school located on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-2:45pm. On Wednesdays, all staff stay until 4:30pm for professional development, meetings and work time.

Teachers are responsible for:

• Preparing and delivering classroom instruction and support in Match classrooms


• Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;


• Communicating regularly and proactively with families;


• Participating actively in Matchs coaching and professional development programming;


• Assisting with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and


• Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community

We are looking for applicants who:

• have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;


• hold a valid and appropriate educator license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;


• believe that all students can and will succeed;


• Have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback;


• have a proven record of student success and achievement; and


• demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.
