HVAC Field Service Technician – Industrial Cooling
Locations: Miami, FL & Tampa, FL

Join a respected mechanical contracting firm as an HVAC Field Service Technician – Industrial Cooling. We're looking for experienced professionals to support our commercial and industrial clients with the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems—especially chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.

What You’ll Do Install & Start Up Equipment
Install commercial-grade chillers, cooling towers, and associated systems
Test for proper function and compliance with specs and safety codes
Perform Preventive Maintenance
Conduct scheduled inspections and tune-ups
Detect and address performance issues before they escalate
Troubleshoot & Repair Systems
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using industry tools
Repair or replace components and adjust control systems
Client-Focused Service
Explain repair findings and recommendations clearly
Provide insights on energy efficiency and long-term system health
Documentation & Compliance
Record all services and materials used
Comply with all safety protocols and EPA refrigerant handling regulations
Stay Sharp & Support the Team
Keep up with new HVAC technologies and standards
Mentor junior technicians as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required
Formal HVAC training or apprenticeship preferred
EPA 608 Certification required
2–5 years in commercial or industrial HVAC field service
Direct hands-on experience with chillers, pumps, and cooling towers
Proficient in HVAC diagnostic tools and meters
Comfortable reading technical schematics and system blueprints
Soft Skills & Other Requirements
Strong communication and customer service mindset
Ability to work independently or within a team
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physically able to lift tools/equipment and work in variable conditions
Flexible availability for emergency service calls or weekend work
Preferred
NATE or similar certification
Experience with smart controls or energy-efficient systems
