**Responsibilities** The Medical Telemetry Unit at Mercy Hospital of Folsom serves a variety of patients. A majority of the admissions that come through the Emergency Department are sent to our **44 bed** 35 room unit. Typical diagnoses that would be seen on our floor are CVA/TIA Chest Pain Rapid A fib CHF exacerbation Pneumonia Flu COPD exacerbation Sepsis Acute Kidney Injury Alcohol Withdrawal & Infectious Diseases (Cellulitis Bacteremia Wounds). We have a mixture of Med-Surg and Telemetry patients. We highly value approaching the patient care with strong teamwork within our unit and within our hospital. Our team is made up of dedicated professionals and we are looking for individuals that share a passion for patient care. **Mercy Hospital of Folsom** a member of Dignity Health is currently looking for a **_Registered Nurse_** to join their Medical Acute team. The Registered Nurse is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach the registered nurse provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional the registered nurse is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development. The position shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy Hospital of Folsom and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health. **Qualifications** **Minimum Required** + At least 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care Medical-Surgical Unit + Current California RN License and BLS from the American Heart Association + American Heart Association ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire + Other certifications may be required **Overview** **Dignity Health @ Mercy Hospital of Folsom** is the community hospital serving the Sierra foothills communities of Folsom El Dorado Hills Granite Bay Cameron Park Shingle Springs and Rescue.
